QA Scribe Cloud
Terms of Service
The rules for using the invite-only QA Scribe hosted service.
Effective August 18, 2026
Acceptance and authorized use
By using QA Scribe, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. QA Scribe is an invite-only pilot. You may use it only with an authorized account and only for browser QA work that you have the right to record, upload, review, and share.
The service
QA Scribe records a browser window and narration through its Chrome extension, securely uploads accepted captures, uses configured providers to transcribe and analyze them, and lets a human reviewer decide the final issues, evidence, and report. Human-submitted review data is authoritative.
Features may change during the pilot. QA Scribe may impose recording, storage, processing, or rate limits and may suspend processing when needed to protect the service.
Your content and responsibilities
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant QA Scribe only the limited permission needed to host, encrypt, process, transmit, display, and delete that content to provide the features you request.
You are responsible for obtaining any permission needed to record people, websites, applications, customer information, or confidential material. Do not submit passwords, authentication tokens, payment-card data, regulated health data, unlawful material, malware, or content you do not have authority to use.
Public report sharing
Reports are private unless you explicitly publish one. Publishing makes the report's existing QA Scribe URL an unlisted, read-only public link for the exact current canonical generation.
You are responsible for checking the report text, captured URLs, attached evidence, and selected screenshots before publishing and for sharing the URL only with intended recipients. Anyone who receives the URL may forward it or save what they view.
Making the report private stops later anonymous access but cannot retract copies already viewed or saved. Republishing restores access at the same URL. Returning to review, replacing the generation, deleting or expiring the session, or revoking or deleting the owner account also ends anonymous access. Sharing never extends the existing retention deadline.
Public sharing does not provide passwords, custom expirations, viewer identity tracking, comments, editing, downloads of raw artifacts, or a public directory. OAuth-authorized MCP clients may use the complete public report URL for the same limited canonical report and selected-screenshot boundary.
Acceptable use
You must not attempt to bypass invitations, authentication, owner checks, quotas, encryption, retention controls, or service limits; probe another user's content; disrupt the service; reverse engineer private interfaces; or use QA Scribe to violate law or another party's rights. Access may be suspended or revoked to protect users and the service.
Third-party services
QA Scribe depends on infrastructure, transcription, analysis, email, and optional delivery providers. Their availability and applicable terms may affect a requested feature. QA Scribe does not control a document after it has been delivered to a third-party service you selected.
Google sign-in
Google sign-in is an optional authentication method for invited users. QA Scribe accepts a Google identity only when Google reports the email as verified and the same address is eligible under QA Scribe's invitation policy. A verified Google identity may be linked to an existing QA Scribe account only when that local account's matching email is also verified.
Google name and profile-image data may be imported once as described in the Privacy Policy. Google sign-in does not authorize Google Drive delivery, and QA Scribe does not retain Google sign-in token material or scopes. Changing your confirmed QA Scribe email removes the Google sign-in link; you can continue to use an invited email link.
Google Drive delivery
Connecting Google Drive does not send a report automatically. After you review the exact canonical revision and select Create Google Doc, QA Scribe creates one new private native Google Doc in the connected account's My Drive using only the drive.file permission.
Each report revision creates a separate document. QA Scribe does not browse your Drive, change sharing permissions, synchronize or overwrite a delivered document, or delete it. You control any later editing, sharing, moving, or deletion in Google Drive.
You must disconnect the current Google Drive account before selecting a different one. Disconnecting blocks new deliveries, attempts to revoke Google access, and erases saved Google credentials even if revocation is unavailable. Existing Google Docs remain untouched.
Use of Google Drive delivery is also governed by Google's applicable terms. QA Scribe handles Google user data as described in the Privacy Policy and in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Retention, deletion, and termination
QA Scribe automatically deletes content according to the retention windows in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for downloading any report or ZIP you want to keep before it expires. You may delete sessions or request account deletion. QA Scribe may revoke access for misuse, security risk, legal requirements, or termination of the pilot.
Deleting QA Scribe data or disconnecting Google Drive does not delete a Google Doc already created in your Drive.
Availability and disclaimers
QA Scribe is provided on an “as available” pilot basis. It may occasionally be interrupted, delayed, or produce incomplete analysis. You must review generated issues and reports before relying on or sharing them. To the extent permitted by law, QA Scribe disclaims implied warranties and is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service or a third-party provider. Nothing in these terms limits rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be limited.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as the pilot changes. Material changes will be communicated through the service or account email before they take effect when reasonably possible. Questions can be sent to hello@qascribe.dev.
